Information reaching Awake News has indicated that an officer with the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) and one other have reportedly been killed in alleged chieftaincy clashes at Mankessim in the Central Region.
According to the information, six (6) others including a Police Inspector and a police investigator have reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries and are currently on admission at a health centre in Cape Coast, the capital of Central region.
It is however not known whether or not the deceased have been short as a result of the alleged crossfire but as a result of the conflict that engulfed installation of Omanhemaa of Mankessim.
According to sources, the two slane office and a civilian were said to have been monitoring undercover and reporting to the security agencies but got killed in the process.
Five (5) suspects have reportedly been arrested in connection with the shooting whiles the police have intensified the search for their accomplices who are said to have absconded.
