His comments follow yet another casualty on the New Dormaa road where “productive Youth was knocked down by a car” yesterday.

According to the Youth Organizer in a press statement copied Awake News, “This unfortunate death has added to several that has happened since this government took over power over their policy of discontinuing of all Road projects in the country started by the previous regime”

Efo Worlanyo noted that “This is an issue that need not to be politicized but no one can be blamed with all the unfortunate happenings in New Dormaa but our Regional Minister Dr. Richardson who was the former MCE for Sunyani Municipal.”

“The New Dormaa Road was one of the prioritized roads under construction before NDC lost power in 2016. The road was over 50% complete by TRADE VISION COMPANY LIMITED” – He said

But According to him, “Immediately NPP took over, under the leadership of Dr. Akua Kumi Richardson and Hon. Asomah Cheremeh they refused payment to the contractor because the contract was awarded during the NDC regime”

“Almost three years of halting the project because of politics has led to several deaths and has caused lots of economic and Health challenges to the people in the area” – He added

BLAME BONO REGIONAL MINISTER FOR THE DEATHS ON THE NEW DORMAA ROAD

It came to me and the entire Youths in the Bono Region as a shock when another productive Youth was knocked down by a car in New Dormaa.

This unfortunate death has added to several that has happened since this government took over power over their policy of discontinuing of all Road projects in the country started by the previous regime.

The Youth Wing of NDC extend our sincere condolence to the bereaved family and the entire people of New Dormaa.

This is an issue that need not to be politicized but no one can be blamed with all the unfortunate happenings in New Dormaa but our Regional Minister Dr. Richardson who was the former MCE for Sunyani Municipal.

The New Dormaa Road was one of the prioritized roads under construction before NDC lost power in 2016. The road was over 50% complete by TRADE VISION COMPANY LIMITED

Immediately NPP took over, under the leadership of Dr. Akua Kumi Richardson and Hon. Asomah Cheremeh they refused payment to the contractor because the contract was awarded during the NDC régime.

Almost three years of halting the project because of politics has led to several deaths and has caused lots of economic and Health challenges to the people in the area.

I was on Ark FM in December 2018 with the former deputy Regional Youth Organizer for the NPP when Dr. Richardson in her Xmas message to the people of the municipality as the MCE promising the completion of the road before the end of January 2019.

Till date and upon her promotion as the Regional Minister not even an attempt has been made to pay the contractor to complete the road to relieve the good people of the New Dormaa from the inconvinces they are going through.

We wish to send a clear signal to the Regional Minister that by the 15th of June if the contractor does not return to site, we shall join our brothers in New Dormaa to heavily demonstrate and march to her office and do the unthinkable and even her armed soldiers cannot stop us!

The people of New Dormaa are tired of the lies and promises, what they need is for the road to get fixed!

Once again our condolence to the entire family of the deceased.
