[dropcap]B[/dropcap]ishop Richard Owusu Akyeaw, the General Overseer of the Living Grace Ministries International in Sunyani, has alerted the public about the influx of supposed “men of God” operating with occultic powers.
He advised Christians to stay in one church, and avoid seeking miracles elsewhere saying with such attitude; they could easily fell prey to those “men of God”.
[ads1]Bishop Akyeaw noted that Pastoral vocation was a divine call, noting that men of God and who seek alternative powers and their followers could not escape God’s judgement here and hereafter.
Speaking at an ordination service of four Reverend Ministers of the Church at Fiapre, near Sunyani, Bishop Akyeaw entreated the clergy to depend on God’s power for successful ministry.
They were Rev Isaac Hinneh, Rev Andrew Osikani Boahen, Rev Gabriel Aidoo and Rev. Bismark Siaw.
Bishop Akyeaw pointed out that “it is only the power of God that can stand to the end in glory and honour”, and asked the newly ordained ministers and other men of God to examine whether they had “a true and divine call”.
He emphasised that waiting on God in prayers, and the study of the Bible were the surest methods to obtain God’s power to do effective ministry.
Bishop Akyeaw urged the reverend ministers to live above reproach and ensure that their lives were shaped by good biblical doctrines and principles.
“You must try as much as possible to feed the minds of your congregation with the word of God so that their salvation would be guaranteed”, he added.
