Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia’s recent assertion that the New Patriotic Party government has laid the foundation for job creation and business growth has been met with skepticism and outrage.
Eric Nana Takyi, a renowned political activist, has argued that Dr. Bawumia’s leadership has been marked by failed flagship initiatives, leaving devastation in their wake.
According to Mr. Takyi, the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) scheme, which the government described as a solution to youth unemployment, collapsed without paying its beneficiaries for nine months, leaving thousands of young people stranded.
He stressed that the banking sector, which the Vice President oversaw as Chairman of the Economic Management Team, experienced a catastrophic collapse, resulting in job losses and economic hardship for countless Ghanaians.
He indicated that Dr. Bawumia’s claims of laying the foundation for job creation and business growth are seen as empty rhetoric, designed to deceive and manipulate Ghanaian youths, stating, “His track record speaks for itself: failure, incompetence, and broken promises.”
“Ghanaian youths deserve better; they need concrete policies and tangible results, not recycled assurances from a leadership that has proven itself incapable of delivering,” he added.
