Vice President and presidential candidate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has launched manifesto ideas seeking platform ahead of his 2024 elections manifesto launch. Dubbed Make Your Voice Count, Dr. Bawumia is asking Ghanaians to contribute towards his presidential manifesto.

Make Your Voice Count is geared towards allowing every Ghanaian to voice out what he or she expects to be done by Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as president come 2025. It states that every idea counts. Ghanaians can contribute by simply visiting the Bawumia website and clicking on the My Manifesto tab to submit a message.

In the run up to the 2020 elections, the NDC and their flag bearer John Dramani Mahama solicited ideas. The strategy dubbed “The People Manifesto” enabled Ghanaians to tell the party what was important to them. However, the exercise was vehemently criticized by NPP. John Mahama was tagged as a presidential candidate who has run out of ideas and needed help from Ghanaians.

And while Make Your Voice Count is a sign that the party is inclusive and open to diversity thinking, political watchers would wonder if the NPP is deficit in ideas now just like they said the NDC was four years ago

This year’s election will be fiercely contested by independent candidates and the two major political parties. There’s the Alliance for Revolutionary Change (ARC), led by Alan Kyeremanten and Abu Sakara The New Force led by Nana Kwame Bediako.

All the presidential contenders are yet to kick start their campaigns so manifestoes have not been launched yet.
