A private legal practitioner, Nii Kpakpo Somoa Addo has reacted to the recent Global Info Analytics “Voting Intentions of Committed Voters-Weighted Poll” that sought to project the upcoming 2024 presidential elections outcome.

In the said polls, the flagbearer of the ruling New Patriotic Party who doubles of the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia pulled 33.9% of the total polls whiles NDC’s former President John Mahama secured 55.5%.

According to the Global Info Analytics,

“Northern Region proves disunity among southern NPP voters. JDM leads 68%, DMB, 31%, AKK, 1%. Among NPP voters, 97% intend to vote for DMB, 2% for JDM. For NDC voters, 98% for JDM and 2% DMB. Among floating voters, 64% for JDM, 6% for DMB and 4% for AKK. Among those who did not disclose their party affiliations, 58% for JDM, 21% for DMB. Only Northern and Central regions give DMB over 90% support among NPP voters. The problem of NPP is from within (AKK, NKB) and without (NDC, FV, Not Disclose). If DMB gets closed to 90% of NPP support, we will have a race.”

“For the Central region, 94% of NPP voters intend to vote for DMB (much higher than in Ashanti), 3% for AKK and 1% NKB and 0% for JDM. Among NDC, JDM, 96%, 2% DMB. Among floating voters, 54% for JDM, 23% for DMB, 2% for AKK and 6% for NKB. For those who did not disclose, 34% for JDM, 20% for DMB, 3% for AKK.”

in the Eastern region, only 74% of NPP supporters intend to vote for DMB compared to 90% of NDC for JDM. Alan gets 12% of NPPP votes, NDC, 2% and Nana Bediako 1%. Floating voters are voting 20% for DMB, JDM, 18%, AKK, 10% NKB, 17%.

In the Ashanti region, 86% of NPP voters intend to vote for DMB, AKK, 7%, 4% for JDM and 1% NKB. For NDC voters, 98% for JDM, 1% for DMB, 1% for NKB. Among floating voters, 38% for DMB, 20% for JDM, 22% for AKK and 4% NKB. However, among those who did not disclose their party affiliations, 28% for DMB, 21% JDM, 14% AKK and 2% for NKB…”

In a social media post reacting to the result, the NDC Communicator said “Bawumia should simply retire from Ghana politics. He has no future. No candidate has ever started as low as 35 percent.”

“He is an electoral disaster leading the NPP to their worst ever electoral defeat under the 4th Republic.” – he added
