Barcelona has handed Lionel Messi’s iconic 10 jersey to Spanish teenage star, Ansu Fati.

Anusu Fati, 18, who was injured during most parts of last season, recently returned to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.

Barcelona confirmed the news with a video of Ansu being presented with the shirt on social media, with the caption: “Our new number 10. Made in La Masia. ANSUFATI.”

Ansu Fati has already appeared in 42 games across all competitions for the Blaugrana, finding the net on 13 occasions while becoming the club’s youngest ever goalscorer.

Other greats who have worn Barcelona’s iconic number 10 jersey include; Rivaldo, Juan Roman Riquelme, and Ronaldinho.
