Over twenty media houses across the country have thrown their support behind the much-awaited explosive investigative reports set to be released by Awake Investigates on public and private sector corruption.
The growing support from the media houses across the country according to the Head of Awake Investigates, Korsi Senyo prompted the team to push the release of the report to next Wednesday, September 12, 2018.
“We have secured a partnership with more than ten media houses (TV, Radio, Newspaper) across the country that have pledged to support us to feature our report on their networks” – Korsi Senyo said
“Based on the growing support, we have decided to push the release date to next week Wednesday”
“By Thursday, we will publish the full list of all our partner media houses that will air and publish the report” – he added
The report dubbed “In Search Of The Lost Treasures” will expose how some public officials allegedly conspired with private persons to sell a multi-million dollar property of a dormant company in questionable circumstances and shared the money among themselves in 2011.
In the report, Korsi Senyo and his team uncovered how the officials allegedly forged documents in support of their alleged fraudulent deals and obtained approval of the judicial system for those transactions which could best be described as fake.
“The investigations revealed that some large amounts of revenue which should have gone to state coffers appear to have been diverted into private pockets. They deliberately authored fake documents to make the transaction appear as though it was their private commercial activity,” said Korsi Senyo.
The report also reveals how these public officials allegedly breached statutory laws in their conducts as public officials and ignored simple due diligence that helped some private individuals to allegedly perpetuate a high level of fraud under their supervision.
Korsi Senyo was the petitioner in the case of the two Deputy Chairpersons of the Electoral Commissioners, Ms. Goergina Opoku Amankwa and Mr. Amudu Sulley who have been impeached for incompetence and misconduct. He is also the individual who is challenging the General Legal Council at the Supreme Court where he filed about five writs.
He has hinted that the Awake Investigates team will file a formal petition with the Director-General, Criminal International Department of the Ghana Police Service, the Economic and Organized Crime Office, the Office of Special Prosecutor to immediately arrest and prosecute all the public and private sector officials implicated in the report.
Awake Investigates is a flagship initiative of Awake News, to uncover every hidden act of wrongdoing by public offers and private sector collaborators, and pursue their successful prosecution in the courts of law.
The team of crack investigators has sworn not to rest until every rot is exposed and every perpetrator named, shamed, made to refund every stolen money, and jailed without fear or favour.
