A Ghana based pan-African media house, Awake Africa has launched an investigative fund for its Awake Investigates programme to support the fight against corruption at the grassroots in Ghana.
Announcing the fund, the Head of Awake Investigates, Efo Korsi Senyo says the fund is necessary to support operations of the Awake Investigates Team adding that investigation activities are very expensive especially if one has to do a through job to provide hardcore evidence that can aid in name, shame and prosecution.
According to him, the Awake Investigate team has already conducted some series of investigations which they are working to publication in Awake Africa bi-monthly newspaper in the next few days. The visual contents of the projects will be aired online via awake TV (online TV) channel http://awakeafrica.cm/tv
The Awake Investigates is a team of young investigative journalists working to expose all forms of corruption and injustice in all sectors in Ghana especially at the grassroots.
