[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Municipal Chief Executive of Asokore Mampong, Ahaji Alidu Seidu says the assembly will embark on a dredging exercise to reduce flooding situation in the municipality.
This comes on the heels of last night heavy downpour which rendered some several residents homeless.
Touring some part of the affected areas to assess the extent of damage and sympathize with the victims today, Alhaji Alidu Seidu stated that the cause of flooding in the municipality is due to the poor drain in some areas.
[ads1]Several residents within the Kumasi metropolis, including those in his municipality were displaced after their homes were submerged during the downpour.
Alhaji Seidu emphasized that his outfit will put measures in place to end flooding in the area.
