Ashalaja Zango Chief Secures Injunction Against Installation Of Another Zango Chief

Zango Chief of Ashalaja a suburb of Accra, Sarki Yusiff Tahiru has secured an interlocutory injunction, restraining some Chiefs and elders of Ashalaja from holding an enstoolment of another Zango Chief scheduled for Tomorrow August 29, 2020.

Sarki Tahiru sworn to and filed to on 26th day of August 2020 in support of motion Ex-parte for an order for interlocutory injunction.

“It is hereby ordered that the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Defendants herein whether by themselves they are against, servants or others however described are restrained from holding a coronation to present the 4th Defendant AHMED IBRAHIM as Ashalaja Zongo Chief as planned to be done on the 29th August 2020” copy of the interlocutory injunction stated.

 

Reacting to the interlocutory injunction granted, Sarki Tahiru said he is committed to continuing representing the good people of Ashalaja Zango hence his decision to go to court.

“I respect rule of law and going to court is the modest way to avoid a clash that may lead to a bloodbath and lost of properties” he noted.

However, residents upon hearing the news of the interlocutory injunction to prevent the said coronation were seen jubilating as they believe tension has been calm in the locality.

Some individuals have planned to install another Ashalaja Zango Chief in addition to the already installed Zango Chief in the locality on Saturday 29, 2020.
