A member of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Elikem Kotoko is urging the defeated Member of Parliament for Kumbungu, Ras Mubarak to watch himself because it appear arrogance is taking the “better” of him.
The vociferous youth advocate in a Facebook post sighted by Awake News said “will you kindly ceasefire? Sometimes, losing is actually winning and there are always lessons to learn from such experience.”
Mr. Kotoko appears to be commenting on reports that the outspoken lawmaker had run to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) claiming some of his contenders may have been engaged in money laundering considering the profligate spending done at the just ended NDC primary in the area.
According to him as reported in the media, the wanton display of cash suggests there was vote-buying which culminated into his defeat and has therefore reported the matter to the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to look into it.
The loudmouth lawmaker suffered a humiliating defeat in the August 24, 2019 primaries from a lecturer with the University for Development Studies (UDS), Dr Hamza Adam who polled 401 as against him, the incumbent who managed to give 273 and 81 votes for the third candidate Baba Abdulai.
However, it appears not many people in the NDC are pleased with the MP’s action and one of such is Mr. Kotoko and according to him “all aspirants except none gave money in one way or the other to delegates which everyone denies is aimed at inducing or influencing their thumb”
“Certainly, you are only screaming on the roof-top that you weren’t the highest bidder.” – He fires
“If money had a role to play, get more next time to outwit your contenders, if this canker of “moneycracy” wont help us as you may have now noticed, let us fight it together by putting measures to eliminate what has seemingly come to stay and called “vote buying”.”

Pls Sir, respectfully you tried other positions before in the past and lost or won against others, they didn’t resort to this.

Your vituperative submissions are making you appear as a sour loser. Please remember there can always be victory in defeat, largely dependent on how you conduct yourself. The NDC is a big party and the bigger picture is to secure victory on December 7, 2020. Get onboard and let’s put the past exercise behind.
