Ghanaian singer and influencer, Joyce Dzidzor Mensah, says she is afraid of the consequences that would follow the extravagant birthday celebration organized by business magnate Richard Nii Armah Quaye.
Joyce claims that if authorities don’t question or look into the young entrepreneur’s success or wealth, individuals will start sacrificing their parents in order to make money.
“People are now going to sacrifice their parents just to make money,” she stated in a video posted on her Facebook page.
Joyce Mensah also noted that Richard Nii Armah Quaye’s lavish birthday celebration would ultimately result in young Ghanaian men and women being imprisoned because those who are already having difficulty in life will now turn to black magic and online fraud, including romance scams and cybercrime, in order to make money.
Joyce Mensah used Hajia 4Reall’s arrest as a case study, and advised the young people to stop tapping into the blessings of others when they are unaware of the source of their incomes.
“We didn’t see anybody tapping into Hajia 4Reall’s blessings when she was arrested, but when she was posting big cars and big houses on social media to put pressure on the youth, people were tapping into her blessings,” she stated.
Although Joyce Mensah congratulated the young business entrepreneur on his accomplishment, she also urged authorities to look into his dealings and probe his source of income.
“Elsewhere in the globe, the man would have been summoned by authorities to explain where he obtained the funds for the lavish party. The system is designed so that you won’t be allowed to make fraudulent deals to put pressure on anyone. But over here in Africa, people do all kinds of things and go unchecked,” she remarked.
Joyce also touched on parents who “emotionally blackmail” their children by asking them to become rich at all costs.
