According to the former appointee under the erstwhile Mahama administration, Anita Desoso’s ‘kneel and beg’ gesture at the 39th June 4th Anniversary Celebration, could go a long way in strengthening the needed unity for the party’s reorganization and recapturing of power in 2020.

Since the NDC lost power to the NPP in the 2016 general elections, [ads1]there has been a barrage of accusations and seemly increasing tension within the party, a thing many political scientist think is not healthy for the party’s reorganization process.

Though Gunu does not believe there is any form of disunity within the party, he believes Anita’s action is significant to the party and appeals to everyone within the party to emulate her actions.

“Call it Anita De Soso’s appeal or strategy,  I call it down to earth, up to victory strategy, that we need to extend vertically and horizontally. It’s a strategy that touches the heart of God and Men” he said.

James Gunu, added that there can be no sustainable probity, accountability and social justice without love, peace and unity and Anita Desoso has demonstrated just that at the June 4th celebration.

“The values of the NDC are relevant today, just as it was in the past and I have no doubt that it would forever remain relevant in our politics”

Recently in Kenya, President Kenyatta and the opposition leaders met at the national prayer and thanks giving break fast meeting,  and pleaded with each other for forgiveness for whatever wrongs they have committed against each other”.

Gunu further stressed the need for people within the party to emulate Anita’s action to consolidate efforts towards recapturing power in 2020.
