Professor Christopher Ameyaw-Akumfi, former board chair of the Ghana Infrastructure Investment Fund (GIIF), has broken his silence following his arraignment in the Sky Train project case.

In a statement released on May 30, he firmly denied all charges, stating: “I have full confidence in my innocence.” He expressed faith in Ghana’s judicial system and said he looks forward to clearing his name in court.

“I believe in fairness and accountability. I trust the process and welcome the opportunity to prove my innocence,” he said.

Ameyaw-Akumfi also thanked his family, legal team, and close friends for their support during what he described as a difficult time.

He reserved special appreciation for Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, calling his support “true brotherliness,” and praised Techiman South MP Martin Kwaku Agyei Mensah Korsah for standing with him in solidarity.
