The Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has called for President Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to apologize to Ghanaians for plunging the country into severe economic hardship.
Addressing party supporters in Asogli, Volta Region, Mahama stated that the economic challenges facing the country are a direct result of the government’s mismanagement.
He emphasized that the livelihoods of Ghanaians have become very difficult due to the government’s mishandling of the economy, adding that it was time for the government to take responsibility for their actions and apologize to Ghanaians.
He expressed the view that a change in government would be the best option for Ghana to recover from the economic hardship it has suffered.
“The economic challenges that have bewildered our country and made the livelihood of Ghanaians very difficult are as a result of the NPP government’s policies. For our country to come out of this economic mess, the best option is to kick the NPP out of power,” Mahama said.
The former President assured Ghanaians of his commitment to improving the country’s economic situation.
