[dropcap]G[/dropcap]hanaian female dancehall musician, AK Songstress has just grabbed a nomination in the upcoming Linkage Awards 2017.
She holds the bragging right as the only female Dancehall artiste in Africa to be nominated for the U.S. based entertainment awards scheme.
She has been nominated for the category of the ‘Best African Dancehall Artiste of the Year’ with some top notch artistes across Africa.
[ads2]Linkage Awards, according to the organizers, Linkage Productions Co. is to recognize individuals in the music and radio industry for their contribution to music as well as their accomplishments in music.
AK Songstress after winning big at the just ended Ghana- Naija Entertainment Awards, Nigeria has become strong force to contend with globally and with this Linkage Awards nomination, she is far gone.
The Paradise Entertainment signed artiste has therefore joined the few dancehall artistes putting Ghana on the world’s map relatively to music.
In the ‘Best African Dancehall Artiste of the year’ category, AK Songstress faces stiff competition from Stonebwoy (Ghana), Bobi Wine (Uganda), A2 (Gambia), Gupsy Warriors (Zimbabwe) and Frankie Dee (Kenya).
The date for the main awards ceremony will be announced later by the organizers – Linkage Productions Co.
Meanwhile voting has been open for all nominees and the rule reads ‘1vote person every 5 days’
