Recent reports raised concerns over suspicious flights landing in Ghana, particularly those linked to Gran Canaria, a location known for its association with international drug trafficking.

Among these was AirMed Flight N823AM, an air ambulance that remained in Ghana for five days. The extended stay, unusual for a medical evacuation flight, led to speculation about the aircraft’s true purpose.

AirMed International has dismissed these concerns, stating that its operations are legitimate and any assumptions suggesting otherwise are unfounded.

However, the company has acknowledged the concerns raised and welcomes any official investigations to bring clarity to the matter.

Authorities have yet to provide a definitive response regarding these flights, leaving room for speculation. The growing scrutiny has led to calls for transparency from the relevant agencies, particularly given Ghana’s increasing vulnerability to international smuggling networks.

While AirMed remains firm in its position that there was no wrongdoing, the company has stated that it will cooperate fully with any inquiries to ensure that the facts are established beyond doubt.

The Ghanaian public continues to demand clarity, urging authorities to act swiftly to verify the legitimacy of these flights and dispel any lingering doubts.
