Blay’s 275 buses amounted to Corruption, Vote buying, a desperation for power and wickedness to Ghanaians!
Incumbent Ag. Chairman and Aspirant in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) chairmanship race, Mr. Freddie Blay, has taken delivery of two hundred and seventy-five (275) buses his campaign promised all constituency chairpersons.
It must be noted that, just some few days ago, Ghanaians were crying of bizzare inadequacy of National ambulances. As an Ag. Chairman of the ruling government any reasonable Ghanaian will expect that, his latest [ads1]gesture be converted into helping his government acquire ambulances to arrest the devastating situation.
During his tenure as MP in the Elembele Constitutency, constituents couldn’t even access good & portable drinking water, schools under trees were countless, farmers couldn’t even transport their produce because the roads were bad etc… Thank God he lost that seat.
So his latest move isn’t only an act of vote buying, abuse of incumbency power and arrogant misuse of party funds he has equally commissioned himself into the abyss of corruption, a canker that has grown exponentially under his party’s government.
Another deep thinking Ghanaian will be interested in asking of the cost per bus since his campaign team claimed the buses were procured through a bank loan facility.
Mr. Freddie Blay was one of the antics during the John Mahama government and accused same of mismanaging the state resources.
It’s time to ask, whether his latest political agenda hasn’t amounted to gross misappropriation of party funds, state funds and reckless spending to influence delegates.
It would be believed that, any rational delegate won’t fall for this trap. Even if we should accept this unethical campaign machinations, why hasn’t he [Freddie Blay] able to demonstrate this scandalous gesture all these while.
It’s pathetic to note that, this Government doesn’t care about the well-being of the people they so-claimed they are governing. Under this cruel government, we have witnessed the most reckless abuse of state power, robbing Peter to pay Paul, an escalating exchange rate, high cost of doing business and living etc etc.
If these are the people Ghanaians have voted for to govern then, we should advise ourselves as a nation.
