Afua Asantewaa has missed out again on the Guinness World Record for the longest individual singing marathon. Officials from Guinness World Records (GWR) invalidated her second attempt after a rule violation review.

The GWR team cited breaches in rest break guidelines. According to the rules, a singer earns five minutes of rest for every hour performed. Afua’s team exceeded that limit.

Specifically, at 23:25 during sequence 19, she reportedly took a 15-minute break instead of the allowed five. Later, during sequence 21, she rested for 105 minutes while only entitled to 10 minutes.

GWR explained that these violations made the attempt ineligible. The organization emphasized fairness and strict rule adherence for all record claims.

Despite the outcome, Afua remained hopeful. She thanked Ghanaians and global fans for their encouragement during both attempts.

She also expressed gratitude to her team and sponsors, including Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II and various corporate partners.
