Minority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin, has vowed that no amount of intimidation or political persecution will weaken the opposition’s resolve.

Speaking after the debate on the 2025 Budget, Afenyo-Markin accused the John Mahama government of using state institutions to target political opponents.

He assured that despite any efforts to silence them, the opposition would remain steadfast, asserting, “In 2028, we will defeat you and restore true governance to this country.”

He criticized the government’s use of the justice system to suppress dissent and emphasized that governance should focus on progress, not political persecution.

Afenyo-Markin urged the opposition to stay united and committed to defending democracy, promising that Ghanaians will make their decision in the 2028 elections.
