The Member of Parliament for Afadzato South Constituency, Oforiwa Alorwu-Tay has honored four deserving Junior High School students in the Afadzato South District at ceremony yesterday at Ve-Golokuatsi in the Volta Region.

The four student that won the awards are Millicent Ahiati from Tafi Abuife JHS, first position with a package of GHc500.00; Princewill Prencess-Joy from Logba Alakpeti JHS, second position with GH400.00; Botchway Cornelius from Have Rygnebeck Preparatory JHS placing 3rd position with GHc300.00 package and Atsu Peace from Ve Wudome JHS, 4th position with GHc200.00 package.

The winner emerged after series of easy competitions across all schools in the district. Three students from each school that did excellently were selected for the semifinal on the 3rd of December 2018 at VE Golokuati.

The semifinal and the final exam papers were however sent to examiners in Accra for marking where the winners were determined.

According to the MP, the initiative is to help encourage learning in the Constituency and to unearth hidden talented for for her support.

The colorful event was attended by the MP, the District Director of Education, VE Chiefs and Queen mothers.
