Ghana’s Parliament has appointed Isaac Adongo as the new chairman of its Finance Committee. With extensive experience as a member of the committee and a background in economics, Adongo is well-equipped to guide the country’s financial decisions in Parliament.
Richard Acheampong will serve as his vice-chair, while former finance minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Antah takes on the role of ranking member, supported by Gideon Boako.
These leaders will closely monitor and scrutinize government economic activities to ensure that Ghana’s resources are managed efficiently for the benefit of its citizens.
Additionally, Kwaku Agyemang Kwarteng has been named Chairman of the Budget Committee, and Abena Osei-Asare will now chair the Public Accounts Committee (PAC), succeeding James Avedzi. PAC plays a critical role in ensuring government accountability and the proper use of public funds.
