Ablekuma Central MP Supports NCCE

The member of Parliament for Ablekuma Central Constituency, Hon. Abdul Latif Dan has donated 200 pcs of the 1992 Constitution, Exercise Books and Pens to the NCCE Ablekuma Central Municipal Office, as the Commission marks its annual citizenship week celebration.

This forms part of his working visit to the office.

The Municipal Director Madam, Comfort Azalletey, expressed her gratitude to the MP for his support as they celebrate their citizenship week in the Municipality.

The annual Constitution week celebration is one of the flagship programs of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE).

The week was instituted to commemorate the country’s return to constitutional rule. The theme for the celebration “We are one, Ghana First” is to emphasize our identity as one people with a common destiny and the fact that national interest supersedes ethnic and all other forms of personal sentiments.

As part of the celebration the Ablekuma Central Municipal Office of NCCE is going to schools within the municipal, to sensitize students on their civic rights and responsibilities as enshrined by the 1992 Constitution.
