Foreign Affairs Minister and Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has deepened his commitment to education by awarding scholarships to 100 additional tertiary students from Volo and Podoe in his constituency.
This new batch raises the total number of beneficiaries under his scholarship initiative to 400 this year alone.
In a message shared on social media, the MP noted the significance of the gesture, tying it to the spirit of Easter:
“Yesterday I offered 100 extra tertiary scholarships to my beloved constituents in Volo and Podoe. This brings the total scholarships offered this year to 400,” he announced.
Ablakwa added that his engagement with constituents during Easter was filled with joy and a sense of purpose.
“Been great spending Easter with my beloved constituents at various community festivals. Easter teaches us to live and die for others; it must never be all about self,” he said.
The move has been widely praised, especially at a time when access to tertiary education continues to be a financial burden for many families.
