The Member of Parliament for North Tongu Constituency, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa  has descended heavily on Vice President Bawumia for presenting his 2024 NPP Presidential Forms to Rev. Kusi Boateng for prayers instead of rather directing the Ghana Police Service for his arrest.

In a Facebook post, the outspoken MP writes:

“Ghana’s Vice President and Chair of the Ghana Police Service Council instead of directing the arrest of a man whom the courts have described his double identity conduct as criminal rather chose to present him with his NPP Presidential Forms for prayers.

The additional irony is that Vice President Bawumia has drifted away from the ailing economy and presented himself as a digitalization champion who has put in place systems to combat identity fraud. It doesn’t appear to occur to him that the Kusi Boateng/Kwabena Adu Gyamfi scandal highlights another abysmal failure on his part.

As for Kusi Boateng/Kwabena Adu Gyamfi, we can appreciate that the fear of going to jail when his political protectors are no longer in power will keep driving his antics.

Clearly, Bawumia cannot be trusted to end the impunity which is destroying our country — either manifesting as galamsey, state capture, corruption, nepotism or identity fraud.”

If readers can recall, Mr. Ablakwa through his parliamentary oversight has uncovered series of corruption related issues surrounding the construction of the National Cathedral.

Among many of the irregularities uncovered has double identity of Rev. Kusi Boateng uses another legal name as Kwabena Adu Gyamfi with different date of birth and biological mother.
