In a formal statement, Hon. Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as A Plus, the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central, has addressed the recent controversy surrounding his banter with Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine, the Attorney General.

The clarification comes in the wake of a fake Twitter account impersonating A Plus and posting inflammatory content about the Attorney General.

A Plus emphasized that, contrary to circulating reports, he never accused Dr. Ayine of corruption or theft.

The MP attributed the false claims to a fraudulent Twitter account using his name, photograph, and verification badge, which he does not control.

The account in question has been linked to spreading misinformation, including allegations that Dr. Ayine is corrupt.

In response, A Plus took to Facebook to address the Attorney General’s comments, but later acknowledged that his choice of words was inappropriate and apologized for any offense caused.

A Plus also clarified his position on the National Service Secretariat (NSS) scandal, stating that he has no knowledge of the matter and no connection to it whatsoever.
