Finance Minister Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has urged Members of Parliament to support the passage of the 2025 budget estimates, emphasizing the critical role of legislative backing in implementing the government’s key economic policies.

Speaking at the opening of the 2025 Post-Budget Workshop in Parliament, Dr. Forson outlined the fiscal objectives for the year and called on lawmakers to swiftly approve the necessary legislation to ensure the success of these measures.

He highlighted major initiatives included in the budget, such as the introduction of the 24-hour economy policy, which aims to foster inclusive growth and create job opportunities.

Additionally, Dr. Forson unveiled the GH¢10 billion “Big Push” policy, set to launch this year, as well as the establishment of the Ghana Gold Board to enhance foreign exchange inflows and strengthen gold reserves, which will ultimately benefit the nation’s economy.

He urged Parliament to work collaboratively to operationalize these measures for the greater good of the country.
