Outspoken media personality and social commentator Blakk Rasta has launched a blistering attack on President John Dramani Mahama’s government appointments, likening some of the appointees to “cockroaches,” “lizards,” and “mosquitoes.”

Speaking on his show on 3FM, Blakk Rasta expressed his deep-seated concerns about the sheer number of appointments being made by the president.

“I am scared, in fact, cockroaches have been appointed… lizards are being appointed, mosquitoes are being appointed left, right, and center,” Blakk Rasta stated.

“Mr. President, let’s be honest, and let’s have it straight. If you have promised that we are going to have the leanest government, the leanest government is not only about ministers and deputy ministers; they involve and include all your appointees.”

Blakk Rasta’s criticism comes on the heels of President Mahama’s promise to have a lean government.

However, the radio host argues that the president’s actions contradict his promises.

The outspoken radio personality questioned the rationale behind the numerous appointments, wondering if it was a tactic to reward campaign supporters.

“For crying out loud, I am scared… the rate at which appointments are flying all over the place, is it a way to satisfy some people who supported the campaign?” he asked.

Blakk Rasta’s comments are not isolated; he has previously criticized President Mahama’s administration. In 2023, he performed his song “Thief President” in front of Mahama, sparking controversy.

Blakk Rasta has also called for constitutional reforms to limit executive overreach, aligning with Mahama’s push for changes in governance.

This is not the first time Blakk Rasta has criticized President Mahama.

The radio host has been a vocal critic of the president’s policies and actions.
