Eyewitnesses reported that the group consisted of around 12 individuals: five wearing military uniforms, one in police attire, and the rest in civilian clothing.

Dr. Palgrave Boakye-Danquah, a former government spokesperson for Administration and Security, confirmed the raid in a post on X, stating that his investigation supported the claims.

He condemned the act, emphasizing that former public officials had served the nation with integrity and questioning who permitted such actions.

“Must we be scared and worried that after serving diligently the people of Ghana, one is not safe even in their home and country of birth?” he asked.

“I hope and pray that the media, civil society organizations, the diplomatic community, and ECOWAS are watching Ghana,” he added.
