Ledzokuku MP supports ‘Teshie Homowo Festival’ with donations to traditional Leaders

The member of Parliament for Ledzokuku constituency, Hon. Benjamin Nartey Ayiku, donated items on Thursday, August 18, 2023, to support the Homowo festival of the people of Teshie Traditional Area.
In a statement released by the communication bureau of the Lodzokuku branch of the opposition National Democratic Congress, the Member of Parliament made the substantial donation to exemplify his unwavering commitment and support for the development of the area.
The statement continues to add that the MPs contributions toward the festival will reduce the financial burdens imposed on goods and services in the country by the Nana Addo Danqua-led NPP government.
On Thursday, August 18, 2023, Hon. Benjamin Ayiku Narteh, the member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency, once again exemplified his unwavering commitment to the people of Teshie by making substantial donations to support this year’s Teshie Homowo Festival, part of the statement read.
Hon. Ayiku’s donation includes 20 sacks of 100kg maize, 20 big yellow gallons of palm oil, 20 packs each of the popular Heineken drinks Malt, Fanta, Coca-Cola, and Sprite, 50 packs of bottled water, and 20 boxes of Castle Bridge to the Teshie Traditional Authorities and Five Quarters, namely Kle, Agbawe, Krobo, Gbugblah, and Lesnshie. He extended the donations to Teshie Port and his paternal and maternal houses. Hon. Ayiku’s donation ensures that the spirit of camaraderie and celebration thrives throughout the entirety of the festival, the statement noted.
The MP’s contribution to the Teshie Homowo Festival will not only strengthen the bond between the traditional leaders and citizens but also serve as a testament to his commitment to fostering unity, community development, and cultural preservation, he said.
