President Akufo-Addo has appointed Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta to take of from Mr. Alan Kyeremanten as the Caretaker Minister of Trade and Industries.

The announcement was contained in a statement issued by the Director of Communication at the Presidency following Mr. Alan Kyeremanten’s resignation  yesterday as the Trade Minister.

According to the President, the now former Trade Minister cited personal reasons for his resignation but it is a know public knowledge that he did so to help him pursue his Presidential Candidate agenda – something he has been pushing for since 2008.

Many social media users who reacted to the appointment of Mr. Ofori-Atta expressed disappointment at the president for given the Finance Minister who majority of Ghanaians and some NPP members of Parliament want him sack from office for poor performance.
