Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress, John Dramani Mahama has suspended his campaign tour of the Bono region to tackle challenges with the provisional voters’ register.
According to the former President, the biggest opposition Party will address a major press conference to deal with increasing reported cases of challenges with the register.
In a social media post, the NDC flagbearer stated, “I am cutting short my tour of the Bono Region to return to Accra because of the increasing reports of challenges with the voter register and the exhibition process. We’ll address a major press conference on the issues in due course.”
Mr Mahama had taken his 2020 campaign to the Bono region where he has been wooing electorates with the NDC’s manifesto promises.
However, Mr Mahama has had to cut short his campaign following reported cases of anomalies with the ongoing exhibition exercise which started on Monday, September 18 and due to end on Friday, September 25.
