The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) has opened nomination for Parliamentary Primaries in constituencies without NPP Members of Parliament termed “orphan constituencies.”
“The Secretariat on Saturday July 20, 2019, officially opened nomination for the 6 orphan constituencies in the Region, namely; Afram Plains North, Afram Plains South, Upper West Akim, Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo, and Asuogyaman.” – A statement signed by the Regional Secretary, Jeff Konadu Addo sighted by Awake News has said.
According to him “The nomination will close on 3rd August, 2019. Any Party member who wish to contest on the ticket of the NPP can purchase a nomination forms in their respective constituencies at a cost of GhS2,000. Payment must be made with a bankers draft from any bank in the name of the New Patriotic Party Headquarters.”
“Furthermore, any Aspiring Candidates who picks up a nomination forms will have to pay GhS20,000 as filing fees also with a bankers draft. Women, youth and disabled have been given a 50% rebate of the filling fees.
All nominations form must reach the Constituency Parliamentary Elections Committee latest by 5pm on August 3rd, 2019.” – the statement added

NPP EASTERN REGIONAL SECRETARIAT OPENS NOMINATION IN ORPHAN CONSTITUENCIES FOR PARLIAMENTARY PRIMARIES
The Eastern Regional Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party wish to informs members of the party that, the Secretariat on Saturday July 20, 2019, officially opened nomination for the 6 orphan constituencies in the Region, namely; Afram Plains North, Afram Plains South, Upper West Akim, Yilo Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo, and Asuogyaman.
The nomination will close on 3rd August, 2019. Any Party member who wish to contest on the ticket of the NPP can purchase a nomination forms in their respective constituencies at a cost of GhS2,000. A Constituency Parliamentary Elections Committee has been setup in all the constituencies who is tasked to see to the smooth process of the nominations.
