[dropcap]S[/dropcap]tonebwoy has lost out on his second BET bid to Nigerian act Wizkid ahead of the main event on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.

Stonebwoy was hopeful of holding the BET bragging right the second but his dream was shattered when organizers officially announced that Wizkid won instead.

It was evident that the Nigerian act really worked hard under the BET year of review considering the number songs and international collaborations.

Other nominees in the same category included; Nasty C, Babes Wodumo, AKA, Davido, Mr Eazi and Tekno.

South Africa’s Nomzamo Mbatha co-hosted the International Awards stage alongside US model Eva Marcille.

Meanwhile the main event will kick off today, June 25, 2017 at the Microsoft Theatre with great performances by top artistes in the U.S.

Mar Bruno will be the first artiste to open the stage with his amazing songs and then followed by tons of musicians in a league.

Mary J. Blige, French Montana, Gucci Mane, Chris Brown, Lil Wayne, Migos, Post Malone, Future, Trey Songs, DJ Khaled, Big Sean and more are the few musicians in the performance league.
