Seven persons including a 4-month old baby have been confirmed dead and 19 others sustained various degrees of injuries after a Sprinter Benz Bus with registration number AS 9242-17 was involved in an accident at Kwame-Kwesie near Banda Nkawa in the Bole District of the Northern Region on Monday night.

[ads1]ASP Ebenezer Kwaku Dakey, the Bole Divisional Officer who confirmed the incident to mynewsgh.com a while ago, disclosed that the incident happened at about 11:30 pm .

He explained that the vehicle was heading to Kumasi from Wa in the Upper West Region and on reaching the scene of the incident burst one of its tyres, somersaulted severally before landing in a ditch.

According to him, the bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at the Bole Government Hospital morgue and the injured on admission at the same facility receiving treatment.
