Five-year-old Nana Addo Mensah was forced to fake illness after his ordeal until it was discovered by his teacher who reported the matter to the Police in Kasoa.

On his visit to the town XYZ News’ Kenneth Awotwe Darko reported that Nana had allegedly been told by his stepmother to give an excuse of a mild boil if anyone inquired why he was uncomfortable.

Assistant Headmistress for the Moses Memorial Academy, Lilly Mensah said his teacher smelt something fishy after which little Nana started vomiting on reaching the premises on Thursday, July 12, 2018.

“When I checked he was having sores and blood stains on him. When I asked him who did this to him, he replied, ‘my mother’. We took him to the proprietor and that’s where we took off his shirt and realized the lacerations on his body. The proprietor also asked Nana had hit him and he repeated again ‘my mother”, Lilly said.

Nana Addo was sent to the hospital for medical attention and later discharged on Friday.

According to school authorities, Nana’s stepmother, Abigail Addo claimed the 5-year old had destroyed the pen drive of his senior brother for which reason he suffered the abuse.

The proprietor for the Moses Memorial School in Tuba, a suburb of Kasoa has taken custody of the boy on the advice of the police as investigation is commenced to seek justice for Nana Addo Mensah.
