In a Facebook post sighted by Awake News, Zeinab has labeled the President Akufo-Addo led New Patriotic Party government as a “liability”.

“Folks, you see this liability the Akufo-Addo led NPP Government gave rise to ! ”- she wrote

Her post was accompanied with a CitiFM’s news report which cites Mr. Peter Amewu of justifying the decision by the Lands and Natural Resource Ministry to spend USD$3million on procurement of some 200 drones to fight Galamsey.

Ms. Alhassan is questioning the where about of the drones and the results of the $3m waisted at the time that the Galamsey situation has reached an alarming rate almost three years on after that amount was spent.

“In 2018, over $3m was wasted to supposedly procure some 200 drones for the fight against Galamsey” She said

“Now, where are the drones and where is our $3m? ” – she quizzed

She is therefore calling for the prosecution of The now Railways Minister for what she inscribed as causing financial loss to the state.

“Peter Amewu must be investigated and made to account for the $3m. In fact, he must be charged and prosecuted for causing financial loss to the state.”

Many Ghanaians have stated that the President has totally failed in his fight against Galamsey. The survival of Water bodies around the mining regions are now threatened, by extension, Ghana risk loosing its source of drinking water and may have to import water by 2030 if the situation still continues.
