2024 SHS School placement; how to check your school as gov’t releases automatic admissions

The government through the Ministry of Education has released an automatic placement for the 2024/25 Senior High Schools and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Institutions few days after the releasing the Basic Education Certificate Examination results.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Education shows that 553,155 student out of the 563,339 qualified to be placed and out of the 553,155, 447,698 representing (80.93%) students qualified for the automatic placement. in one of their choices.

According to the ministry 104,918 students could not be matched to any of their choice and are encouraged to visit the Self-Placement platform to select a school of their choice.

All students and parents must note that this year’s placement is free of charge and no student is required to pay or buy a placement checker code number or card before checking his or her school.

This is how candidates are to check their schools, visit the official CSSPS website https://www.cssps.gov.gh or https://www.cssps.org and enter the ten-digit index number followed by their year of completion, all must be entered together (for example, if a student completed in 2024, use the format 123456789024) and then verify you are a human being and then click the “proceed or Submit” button and wait for the placement result to be displayed.

If a student is not automatically placed a message of self placement will appeared on the screen.
