Jumia Ghana, a leading shopping online mall in Ghana has hinted plans to once more reward customers its mobile phone week promo this year starting from March 19 to 25, 2018 with the aim to making smartphones accessible and affordable to all Ghanaians as well as promote smartphones penetration rate in Ghana.
Mr Joseph Owusu Badu, Head of Jumia Ghana Marketing Department , [ads1]who announced this at any media engagement in Accra said the company sold 5,000 smartphones in the 2017 event and they were expecting to sell 15,000 smart phones this year.
He said the 2018 version of Jumia Mobile Week Campaign will be an exceptional one as Jumia will intends to offer 80% percent discount on all phones during the the one week promote as compared to the 40 percent discount given away in the year 2017.
He maintained there will be a lot of exciting giveaways like iPhones, Note 8 free data etc.
He further disclosed the promotion will run concurrently in all Jumia countries such as Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Morocco.
According Mr. Badu, the company expect to increase sales to exceed 18 million Euros and therefore urged the public to take advantage of the promotion to acquire their desire smartphones, tablets and accessories at affordable price.
Speaking to the challenges confronting their operation, Mr Badu remarked the address system has been their biggest challenge.
Jumia is partnering with Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Fero, Huawei, cubot and other powerful brands to make this year’s promotion a huge success.
