A 13-year-old girl identified as Abigail Aklugu has allegedly committed suicide at Nsuta in the Sekyere Central District of the Ashanti Region.
The Sekyere Central District Health Director, Danso Yeboah Joseph, who confirmed the incident, indicated that Abigail’s body was found hanging dead on a mango tree behind the Nsuta District office premises at 6 am yesterday by his night security man.
The incident was reported to the Police who were at the scene and found the body of the deceased partially on the ground with her neck in a nylon rope.
Inspection by the police reveals whitish fluid and blood stains at the vagina and the anus regions of the body.
They, however, could not immediately confirm the real cause of Abigail’s death.
The body of the deceased has been conveyed and deposited at the Mampong Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and autopsy.
