The West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, has released the 2024 BECE timetable. This year’s examination will feature the first batch of students to be examined under a Common Core Curriculum. Students will write tests in seven mandatory subjects including English Language, Mathematics, General Science, Social Studies, Religious and Moral Education, Career Technology and Creative Art and Design.
According to the timetable released by WAEC, the first two papers of the examinations will be written on July 8, 2024. Subjects of the first day are English Language and Religious and Moral Education (RME).
Day two of the exam will feature Science 1 and 2 and Computing (formerly Information and Communication Technology, ICT)1 and 2.
On Tuesday, 9th July 2024, candidates will write Science and Computing, previously known as Information, Communication and Technology (ICT).
Students will write Social Studies papers 1 and 2 and Creative Art and Design papers 1 and 2 on Wednesday, July 10, 2024.
That would be followed on Thursday, July 11, 2024m, with Mathematics and Ghanaian Languages papers 1 and 2.
Most students would finish their examinations with the Career Technology and French papers on Friday. But those candidates sitting for Arabic will continue on Monday, July 15.
