The people of Kome-Shime Traditional Council in Anlo State of the Volta region of Ghana has solidify their governance structure as they have Inaugurated the traditional council and honoured Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, as their president and paramount chief.
The occasion witnessed by people from all walks of life including representatives from the Volta Regional House of Chiefs and the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs took place at the Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe royal house forecourt in Anlo Whuti on Friday October 18, 2024.
The registrar at the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Mr Harry Anthony Attipoe who sworn in the chiefs on behalf of government, explained that the government’s effort to inaugurate Traditional Councils is in fulfilment of it’s mandate as per the Chieftaincy Act 2008 (759) which gives provision that there shall be a Traditional Council for every paramountcy. He added that the exercise was not for the benefit of any individual, Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI, chiefs or any queen mother or even set to destroy the traditions and culture of Anlo State. And that traditional councils when inaugurated becomes government facilities that will ensure the deepening of relationship between government and the Traditional authorities to promote peace and development. Mr Harry Anthony Attipoe called on Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI to unite his chiefs and queen mothers to resolve whatever difference affecting peace and development in Anlo land.
He ended his speech by reiterating that he is ever ready to unveil himself whenever the Awormefia Togbi Sri III calls on him to render his support towards the development and peace of Anlo State.
The President and Paramount Chief (Fiaga) of Kome-Shime Traditional Council, Miafiaga of Anlo, Dufia of Whuti, Leader of the Royal Adzovia clan and the Head of Royal Tamakloe family, Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI in his acceptance speech was grateful to God Almighty (Mawuga Sogbolisa), his chiefs, queen mothers, the Volta Regional House of Chiefs, Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, people from far and near including the people of Anlo State for their support rendered.

Togbi Nyaho Tamakloe VI was very optimistic and ready to serve his people. His believe in truth and righteousness as the hallmark to bring the superiority of Anlo State once again to the world was eminent. He added that he shall fight to bring peace and development in Anlo land and also called on his chiefs and queen mothers to get involved for the called to development and peace.
The Kome-Shime Traditional Council is made up of Whuti, Srogbe, Salo, Anyanyui, Atorkor, Kome, Dzita and Shime.
