The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appointed Abdul Karim Zito as the Head Coach of the newly formed national U-19 male team. He leaves his position as the U-15 team coach which he held since the start of the year.
Former Asante Kotoko striker Eric Bekoe, will be assisting the illustrious and experienced coach in steering the development of the team.
This strategic move is in a bid to fortify Ghana’s youth football development. It is an initiative by the Ghana Football Association to build a developmental pathway for young Ghanaian male football players.
Abdul Karim Zito has an illustrious coaching career, marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a steadfast dedication to talent development.
Karim Zito’s achievements include winning the U20 WAFU Championship in 2020 and the U20 AFCON title in 2021. He has also qualified Kwabibirem Stars and Feyenoord Academy (now WAFA) to the Ghana Premier League.
Karim Zito currently coaches Dreams FC in the Ghana premier league and has been overseeing their marvelous performance in the CAF Confederation Cup this season.
