In an unfortunate turn of events, one of the seven campaign vehicles donated by Prof. Richard Kofi Asiedu, the Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), was involved in a serious head-on collision. The crash occurred while Alex Ebo Koomsom, a regional elections directorate member, was traveling from Accra to Assin Fosu for official duties in Twifo-Praso.
Reports reaching Awakenewsroom.com indicate that Mr. Koomsom is currently receiving treatment at Mankessim Roman Hospital, where his condition is reported to be serious. The other passengers involved in the accident are also undergoing treatment, though their conditions have yet to be disclosed.
Prof. Asiedu expressed deep concern over the incident and urged party supporters and Ghanaians as a whole to remember the party’s official in their prayers.
“We are saddened by this unfortunate incident and pray for the swift recovery of Alex and the other affected members,” Prof. Asiedu said.
He further called for unity among party members and pledged his continued support to the party and the region.
