One person has been shot dead at Nyankpala in the Tolon constituency after heated exchanges of words.
One person is confirmed dead in the Tolon Constituency after a confrontation between the NDC Parliamentary candidate, Dr Osman Tahiru Damba, and the NPP Northern Regional Organizer, Alhaji Rashid Salifu on an allegation of vote buying.
The NDC PC confronted the NPP organizer for allegedly sharing money. The incident turned violent with gun shots from the NPP supporters which led to the killing of an NDC supporter with another one hospitalized.
The police are currently conducting an investigation into matter.
