A 45-year-old man has been shot dead by his colleagues at Nweneso No.1 in the Atwima Kwanwoma District of the Ashanti Region.
The deceased identified as Yaw Kwakye, farmer and a palm wine tapper is said to have been shot due to a misunderstanding between him and the friends over a palm wine tapping pipe.
Isaac Manu, brother of the deceased recounted the incidents occurred on Tuesday, August 24, 2021. He also disclosed that, he had a discord with one Mr Mustapha, 35 and Paa Willie 48, over a pipe which steered the fight between them on the farm.
Reports revealed, Yaw Kwakye, deceased, on Tuesday went to the site where the two suspects were working to retrieve his pipe and money owed him by the two whom he used to work with until his death.
Unclear what transpired between the three, Yaw Kwakye was shot dead and his body was later found on the farm with suspected gunshot wounds.
Assembly Member of the area, Kwame Atinka, affirmed that the two suspects have been arrested by the Foase Police Command to assist investigations.
The body has since been deposited at the Komfo Anokys Teaching Hospital.
