North Tongu Member of Parliament, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has reminded his constituents of voting age that they have the power to create the Ghana they deserve by participating in the ongoing voter registration exercise.
“To all my beloved constituents who have attained the age of 18 and have not registered to vote, this is the time to step out and get registered. You have the power to create the Ghana we deserve”.
He also admonished the victims of the Akosombo Dam spillage who lost their voter ID cards to wait for the EC replacement exercise.
“Kindly take note that this exercise is strictly for those who have never registered; all those who lost their Voter ID Cards to VRA’s spillage from the Akosombo Dam should wait for the EC’s replacement exercise which would be carried out after this registration. Remember double registration is a crime and it attracts severe punishment,” he said on his Facebook.

To all my beloved constituents who have attained the age of 18 and have not registered to vote, this is the time to step out and get registered.
You have the power to create the Ghana we deserve.
Kindly take note that this exercise is strictly for those who have never registered; all those who lost their Voter ID Cards to VRA’s spillage from the Akosombo Dam should wait for the EC’s replacement exercise which would be carried out after this registration. Remember double registration is a crime and it attracts severe punishment.
Please pay attention to the movement plan which indicates the specific dates for registration in your community. (See attached flyer for details).
May I commend the Electoral Commission for listening to us on this occasion and granting North Tongu additional 9 registration centres to cover difficult to reach communities. We shall criticize when there is cause to, however, we shall not hesitate to applaud the EC when their conduct is worthy of same.
Looking forward to meet you my beloved constituents at the designated registration centres — as your elected MP, I shall in all humility continue to ensure that you receive premium value for your votes.
