The former National Vice Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress, H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has stated that the last seven years of the Nana Addo Danqua/Dr. Bawumia-led New Patriotic Party administration would be remembered by all as the worst in the history of Ghana.
He said the seven years were a period when a country that was flourishing under then-President John Dramani Mahama was plunged into unimaginable poverty, insecurity, reckless borrowing, economic hardship, and general maladministration.
The former high commissioner who made the assertion when speaking to newsmen in the Volta region said the President Nana Addo-led administration “took Ghana from hero to zero, making life miserable for all Ghanaians.
“I served under the then President John Dramani Mahama’s administration, and we all saw how Ghana flourished under that administration. We all knew what the prices of foods and services were at the time, but the New Patriotic Party-led government has distorted the economy since 2017 that basic commodities are now beyond the reach of ordinary Ghanaians.
Alhaji Sinare said in his statement added that since assuming the reins of power, President Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumia, and their party, the NPP, have not only failed to meet their various campaign promises but have also crippled Ghana they have come to see as the least economically viable in 2016.
“Looking at poverty, unemployment, insecurity, inflation, decay in infrastructures, suffocating symptoms of underdevelopment, judicial transgression, electoral deficiencies, and market failure, among others, it appears Ghanaians are in for the worst with President Nana Addo, Dr. Bawumia, and their NPP-led administration.
