You can’t run away from the mess – NDC’s Attuh chases Alan Cash

A member of the National Communication team of the opposition National Democratic Congress, Stephen Kwabena Attuh has said the resignation of the Trade Minister Alan Kyeremanteg without any stated reasons makes him no better President than the failed Akufo-Addo.

“We know he wants to be President. But I don’t see any record of Alan in government that would distinguish him as being better when he becomes President.” – Mr. Attuh said in a Facebook post.

According to the development communication expert, “He[Alan] never saw anything wrong in this government even at times of excruciating hardships and heightened corruption. He stayed on and kept praising the government.”

He explained that “Even as he resigns, he states no reason that makes him stand out as not believing in any specific policy direction. His refusal to state any of these, only points to the fact that the government he served in, was so perfect with records that must make him become President.”

Outling how Alan is part and contributed significantly to the failure of the President Akufo-Addo/Bawumia-led NPP Government, he writes:

“This man Alan, in September 2017, promised better days ahead. Five (5) long years after being part of the same government, he comes back to tell us to be hopeful for a better 2023, which means he admits we have gone no where after 5 years.

And then, just five (5) days after telling us to be hopeful for a better 2023, he chickens out of the same government that was to deliver the better 2023. He doesn’t want to be part of the success of 2023?

The same man was hopeful a few weeks ago that an IMF deal would bounce this country back on its feet, the feet they (with him in government) collapsed.”

Alan Cash who have been in the President Akufo-Addo government since its inception in 2017 has just tended his resignation which obviously could be due to his preparation to contest for the NPP Presidential Candidate – a position he has been contesting since 2008.

ALAN CANNOT RUN AWAY FROM THE MESS
We know he wants to be President. But I don’t see any record of Alan in government that would distinguish him as being better when he becomes President.

He never saw anything wrong in this government even at times of excruciating hardships and heightened corruption. He stayed on and kept praising the government.

Even as he resigns, he states no reason that makes him stand out as not believing in any specific policy direction. His refusal to state any of these, only points to the fact that the government he served in, was so perfect with records that must make him become President.

This man Alan, in September 2017, promised better days ahead.

The same man was hopeful a few weeks ago that an IMF deal would bounce this country back on its feet, the feet they (with him in government) collapsed.

Well, it’s within his right to choose to remain in government or not. But, we know the ambition, and that ambition is already dented with the abysmal performance including that of his portfolio.

If Alan’s portfolio was such a success, food prices would have been down because local production would have improved significantly in the midst of the so called 1D1F that he supervised. Cost of goods imported would have also remained affordable if he was that successful.

The years ahead would be interesting for him, and even his own internal party elections would expose more.
